Hairy Hikers North East

What happens when a group of like minded friends/colleagues get together to raise money for a Children’s Cancer Charity…… They make a pact to Complete a walk Station to Station and we’re even taking the dog along!

Yes you heard right, over 170 mile walk from Newcastle Central Station to Edinburgh Waverley Station over a 7 day period from the 9th-15th April 2017. This works out to the equivalent of a marathon a day over the week. All the money that is raised from the group will be put towards the charity, any personal expenses such as food an accommodating etc. will be meet by the team. The hike will take us through the Northumberland coastline, Past Berwick-Upon-Tweed and finally making our way towards Edinburgh station along the stunning Scottish coastal paths.

We have been offered Marketing and Social Media coverage by a number of companies along the route and all funds that are raised will be presented to the charity at their Summer Ball by the 4 members of the group.

Children’s cancer touches so many people within the UK as well as around the world. many families have been involved with someone that has gone through this. Any money raised for the research and support for these families and this horrible disease is only a bonus.

We’ve got a website that will be getting updated with training pics and information as well as all the pictures, hard work and smiles from the walk all climaxing in a fantastic end in Edinburgh knowing that any money raised is going to a fantastically worthy cause.

Our just giving page can be found through the following link: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/HairyHikersNorthEast

Any help for this cause no matter how great or small is massively appreciated and will go a long way to fighting a horrible disease.

Now watch this space for further updates along the way……
